XLVI NATIONAL PIANO CONFERENCE IN KAJAANI

12th – 13th February 2022

EPTA Finland will hold its Annual National Conference in Kajaani from Saturday 12th to Sunday13th of February 2022.

The program includes lectures and teaching demonstrations by Eveliina Kytömäki and Eeva Havulehto, a lecture recital by Eveliina Sumelius and memoirs by Katariina Liimatainen, performances by students of the Kainuu Music Institute as well as an Evening recital by Marko Mustonen.

The National Piano Conference takes place at the Kainuu Music Institute, at Kaukametsä Culture and Congress Centre, Koskikatu 2, 87200 Kajaani.

Please registrate by paying the participation fee to the bank account of the Piano Teachers’ Association IBAN: FI55 1014 3000 1414 87 BIC/SWIFT: NDEAFIHH by 10th January 2022 at the latest. The name of the participant should be seen in the receipt of the payment.

Members and students 80 €
Pensioners 50 €
Others (non-members) 130 €

No separate daily fees.

The participants marked in the list of members of the Piano Teachers’ Association and having paid the member’s fee of the year 2021 may pay the member’s participation fee.

The reservation fees and the buffet fees are not refundable, except on medical reasons on doctor’s certificate.

NOTICE! Participating in the Piano Conference is free of charge for full-time students of piano pedagogy. Registration by e-mail is required for the participation by 10th January 2022 to the email address sihteeri@pianopedagogit.fi. Remember to mention the name of your institute.

CALL FOR THE MEETING

The statutory Annual Meeting of the Piano Teacher´s Association will be held on Saturday 12th February 2022 at 16h30 at the Kainuu Music Institute, Koskikatu 2, 87200 Kajaani.

The statutory issues of an annual meeting will be dealt with. The rules are available on the website of the association.

Hotel Scandic Kajanus next to the Kainuu Music Institute offers a home-cooked lunch (including a day’s soup, salad, bread, spread, two hot dishes, one of which is vegetarian food, coffee/tea and a small sweet, with iced water as a food drink).

Price 11 €, which everyone pays on site.

Registration for the Social Evening

After the Evening concert, there will be a gathering in the Karanka restaurant of the Music Institute, where a buffet meal is served for 28 €. Please, notice that the buffet has to be paid in advance upon registration. The products are lactose free. Please, indicate your special dietary requirements when registering.

AUTUMN ONLINE EDUCATION Saturday, 16th of October, 2021

EPTA Finland hold an Autumn Educational Day online.

Professor Timo Virtanen gave a highly interesting lecture about editing and editions followed by an active discussion with the listeners. Dr. Kristiina Junttu hold an inspiring group teaching demonstration.

Around 70 participants followed the educational day online.
